I am a Native Houstonian and I have lived in Harris County for most of my entire life. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Houston Law Center.
I have 18 years of legal experience, almost exclusively in family law, and I have been based in Harris County for my entire legal career.
Before attending law school, I worked as a Family Crisis Interventionist for Tarrant County MHMR where I served families in crisis. I also worked as a Psychiatric Technician in a geriatric mental health clinic, helping people over the age of 65 with mental health issues. I learned, from two very different perspectives, the value of family and that the roles that parents and children play can change dramatically over time.
Not too long after graduating from law school, I worked as an attorney for AVDA, a non-profit law firm that represents victims of domestic violence in family court.
After working for AVDA, I continued my law practice and almost all of my cases were in family law.
I have represented clients in divorces, custody disputes, enforcements, modifications, protective orders, CPS cases, registration of foreign orders, paternity suits, adoptions, terminations, habeas corpus, and special juvenile immigrant cases.
While some attorneys take the occasional divorce case, most of my clients are family law clients.
Family Court Judges should be Family Law Attorneys.
With the support of my wife, Maria, and our teenage children, I am seeking election to be your judge of the 312th District Family Law Court.
